This is a typical picture of Steve. His cell phone is his life-line to his business (& family). We were at pageant practice w/ Jessica & Steve was on the other side of the small gym. That is a hand-held radio on his pocket (a direct link to 911 for his Volunteer Fire duties). Ok, notice...he has the antenae (?) up which means it's an important phone-call & he doesn't want to lose the signal. ;) (i'm pretty good, huh?)

Picture was taken on our first day of SpRiNg BrEaK---This is a current picture of our livingroom. I'm doing what I do best! (just kiding...I was watching a show I recorded earlier) The BIG t.v. behind me quit working, so Steve parked it there. (maybe we can get a plasma t.v....yeah right) We use the backdoor frequently, so it makes it hard w/ it sitting there. The t.v. I'm watching came from our bedroom. The stuff on the mantle was put there before Christmas while I was sorting things to be sold on ebay. Amazingly, it turned out ok & I left them there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOMMY!!!

WOW! I can't believe it...Tommy made it to 26. I think we all need to celebrate!! Tommy, if you read this, I want you to know that you deserve the best birthday ever. (However, don't drown yourself in birthday cake.) LOL- You must maintain that muscular figure of yours. ;)

* * * SpRiNg BrEaK ! * * *

I think this is a CooL picture. I took the following pictures while Jessica was jumping on the trampoline. I made sure my angle of the camera was pointing towards the sky so her background would be the sky. I never dreamed the captions would look so awesome. I told Jessica to do cheer jumps by counting to 3. After we figured out the timing, it was Jessica who made it interesting. Jessica said she was doing a Herkie while playing the guitar. I told her it looked like the splits. Whatever it is, it turned out great in the picture!

Jessica is being herself. Check out the smile on her face! To Jessica, the only thing missing on this perfect, sunny, school-free day are her friends!

Jessica is jumping for joy because it's SPRING BREAK!!

Jessica is showing off her toe touch on the trampoline.

WoW--Jessica, you look great with your hair braided. I think you should wear your hair like that more often. (especially when doing sports)
by Deborah

I did it!! My very first time to braid Jessica's hair & VIOLA! It turned out great, but the downfall is that it took me about 1 hour to do one side. LOL (I hope she never asks me to do it at the last minute.)
by Deborah

That's me to the right of the picture. Yes, I love taking pictures. ;) That's the coach's daughter (Hillary Kinard) behind me & the girl in the back is Alex Donaho. The girl sitting in front of Jessica is Victorian Tilley. All of the girls are in the 7th grade & in their first year of cheerleading & gymnastics (cheernastics).

Cheerleaders on their way to gymnastics in Starkville, MS. I only drove 4 cheerleaders this day. Sometimes it can be 7 at one time. (notice the food & boy do they eat a lot!)

CONGRATULATIONS, LAURYN!!

Lauryn is the daughter of John and Terri Meadows (& my niece). Lauryn recently tried out for VARSITY CHEERLEADER...and SHE MADE IT! I bet Lauryn is still floating in the clouds. (I know I would be.) YOU GO GIRL!!!

  • Crystal Springs High School
  • CONGRATULATIONS, JESSICA!!

YeS!! Jessica made it. She had a score of 419. (the highest could be 500) We think it's going to be a good year (Jessica, keep your're fingers crossed.). CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS!!

Middle school cheerleader try-outs: All of the girls in the picture were selected by a panel of judges. There were 32 to try out and only 20 were selected. You can barely see Jessica's face behind the girl in the hot pink. (I had a clear picture of Jessica, & at the very last second, she stepped in front of Jessica)

The traditional family group picture after someone in the family has accomplished something!

Brent, we are SO proud of you! You blew me away when you won!! (love, mom)

Meet the other contestants (left to right): John (5th grade); Ben Veazey (5th grade); Ryan Lee (4th grade); & then we have Brent (4th grade). John got 2nd Alt.; Ryan got 1st Alt.; Brent & Ben tied for winner.

Brent keeps looking at Racheal Baucom, who is the MC to the right of the picture. [Umm...Brent, the judges are the other way. Look at them ;)]

    March 21, 2005

We were so proud of Brent for winning, but we couldn't find anyone to take our picture. I found a woman, but she was shorter than Jessica. What was I thinking. LOL. (You can see the look on my face...I was concerned about the fact she was pointing the camera too low.)

I could't believe the background was yellow gold. Normally, it is black or red, white, blue. This picture is when they were introducing...contestant number 4, Brent Pyle.

Wow! I think he's looking sharp! I instructed Brent how to stand on the stage. I told him not to stand with his feet together like a soldier but to stand like an "at ease soldier".

Very nice! I love this picture because Brent is wearing the sash. Brent's score tied with another boy's, so the two took turns getting their picture made with the sash & hat.

Brent, can you get a little closer, please? Don't tell me you're afraid of girls! LOL (I hope Brianna is talking and she's not making weird faces for the camera man.) ;)

FOOTBALL FOR THIS YEAR (4th grade)

I think this picture is worth a thousand words. Is he pigeon toed or is that the way he's walking? Is he headed to the bench or is he wandering? Is he grabbing the mouth piece or taking it out? Are the players at the other end of the field or is he not interested in what's going on?...This picture is definetly worth a thousand words. (I wish a thousand dollars) LOL

They look like the 3 amigos, and they sat in descending numerical order, too! Our football season ended with a "No Win". That's right, not a single victory. Let's just say I was rejoicing when it was over.

Brent, can you get any goofier? Are you mimicking a duck? Pictured with Brent is Chakota O'Kelly and Keith Painter. The boys were enjoying the football field after a disappointing Homecoming. Boys, you are definetly more fun to watch!

Brent continues to make faces while posing for the camera. Watch out! Keith is about to "thump" your ear! (This is a sample of black&white imaging)

It's hard for Brent to take a serious picture with friends. Its his duty to keep them entertained..so he thinks. LOL (This is a sample of Sepia imaging)

Looks like they're ready to begin the play.

Brent (#2) and his friends enjoy playing on the football field after the games.

    BRENT'S SPARE TIME WITH FRIENDS

Brent and Ricky Lee are both competitive, so when they beat the other one in a game, they feel pretty good! Check out Ricky's face...hmmm, I think he's winning!

Brent and Ricky Lee are good friends. They have a lot in common with sports, clothes, likes & dislikes. Let Steve tell you some stories about Ricky. :) LOL

Ricky Lee is going for a "3 pointer".

Brent is trying to make a "3 pointer", while Ricky Lee makes the baskets closer. (Ricky was dressed for baseball practice & they were shooting ball while waiting on me.)

    STEVE'S BIRTHDAY - 35 years old

We gave Steve his birthday presents on Saturday night, Mar 5th. On Monday night, Mar 7th, Steve had to draft new players to his/Brent's baseball team, so we decided to give presents early!

  • Steve and Brent's Baseball Team
  • March 15, 2005

How CUTE! Is she playing "Peepye"? Look at the smile on Steve's face. Jeff & Marisa kept her Friday night when she got to town and then they brought her over Saturday night. (I wrapped the box, so Steve only lifted the lid without shaking the box!)

Steve, it looks like you're a natural! :)

Aw, it's a family picture. LOL

The kids helped me pick out the bed and the "toy" box for the puppy. I want to thank my Mom for helping me make this possible "Thanks, Mom!", Marisa for traveling on a Friday night for long hours w/boring me, Jeff for dodging every suspicious question Steve threw at him, Wanda for support & offering to travel if she wasn't working, and to the kids for keeping a secret for a WHOLE WEEK! Wow, I think Jessica & Brent broke a record for the longest kept secret considering they're kids. :) love you guys

This is hilarious! (Steve's birthday) We took about 5 pictures, but the problem is Stevie can't keep his eyes open for a picture! He was determined to get them open for the camera and this was the best one out of them all! LOL Posted by Hello

Now that's healthy! Yeah, right. This was Steve's birthday supper. It had to be quick because tonight he picks the ballplayers for his/Brent's team. Happy Birthday, Stevie! Posted by Hello

    March 14, 2005

Her name is: Pepe Le Pew Pyle

...and she's Steve's birthday present from the kids and me. We had her flown in from Nebraska to Jackson. Who was in on it? Everyone! I actually got away w/ keeping a secret from Steve. It was VERY hard (ask Jeff), but we did it! Welcome home Pepe! Trying to get Pepe Le Pew Pyle to go to sleep! Normally, we put her in the cage, but I felt like being silly, and the sweet puppy played along with it! She's a hoot!! LOL

    What a cutie pie!

    Aw..she went to sleep!

    March 13, 2005

We were so glad to reach the puppy. It was a great trip & a great time for Marisa & me to break away from the guys!! LOL

Marisa is a natural when it comes to animals!!

    PLAYING HOOKY!!

Jessica is all smiles. We had lunch (on a Monday) with Steve, Wanda, Brenda, Marisa, & Wanda's friends from work for Steve's birthday. Jessica & I used the excuse of having to pick up & try on her new retainers to sneak out of school for lunch! A "waterfall" was falling off a building & we thought it would be fun to get some "walking in the rain" pictures!

    VALENTINE'S DAY 2005

Brent woke up on Valentine's Day and found "monkey boy" tied to his breakfast chair with a nice card. Brent doesn't eat a lot of chocolate or candy, so I have to be creative on holidays that involve candy! :) (hmmm...will Brent get a special something from a "love" today at school??) I doubt it. LOL (By the way, Brent has always had a thing for monkeys...I don't know why. Maybe, because he...acts like a monkey half of the time!) just kidding (Brent, we love you & so does the rest of the family & friends.)

When Jessica woke up on Valentine's Day, she found her "prince" tied to her breakfast chair with a cheerful card. (I cut back on candy because we're trying to lose weight, & Jessica is trying to keep her "goal" for the pageant.)
