The Big Scare -3/29/05- 10:00p.m.- The boys were constantly coming and going in and out of the house. It was dark and Brent turned on the outside lights for the backyard. The boys had no fear nor did they mind bothering the neighbors. I finally told Steve the boys had to quit going outside. After dreading the fact of getting off the couch and leaving the computer, Steve agreed to give the boys a reason to stay inside for the night. While I was in the backyard taking pictures, Steve was on the other side of the fence, which was directly behind me, making noises so loud that Jasamine, the dog, was curious about the "wild cries". As the boys darted to the backporch, the noises turned into howling. At that time, Jasamine returned to the porch with her tail high in the air and the fur on her back looking like a porky pine. She looked at me as to say I'm on the case. In no time, Jasamine was running to the fence and barking as mean as she could, and the boys decided they had seen enough. We went inside, and I was locking the back door, when Steve came running through the garage door acting like he was short of breath. The boys anxiously asked, "Where did you come from?" Steve answered, "I saw the animal. He looked just like that big animal on the SUV commercial." I was amazed that Steve was going into such detail. I said, "What commercial?" The boys excitingly said, "You know, the one with the fury monster in the rodeo." While Steve was grinning from ear to ear, he sat down on the couch, picked up the lap top and went back to his business. Around midnight, the boys were still awake and scared silly, I confessed every detail about our plan to scare them. MJ stood up and said, "Let's go outside!" I told them they couldn't go because Mr. Steve turned on the alarm system, so they played video games instead. ------The End
